SureSmile uses a series of custom-fabricated aligners designed to gradually shift your teeth and jaw into their ideal position.
You will wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours daily and switch them out for the next in the series at the interval specified in your treatment plan (typically every two weeks).
What to expect:

SureSmile Treatment Length
The first appointment is to get digital scans, photos, x-rays if needed, and an exam to record the changes we are hoping to achieve. The second appointment is a 30-minute consultation to go over the treatment proposal and discuss the cost.
If the treatment proposal has been accepted, the aligners are ordered and take 1 – 2 weeks to arrive. You are then booked in for a 45-minute appointment to place any needed attachments, complete any IPR (interproximal reduction), deliver the first 2 sets of aligners, and give at-home instructions.
We will see you every 4 weeks to check the progress and give the next 2 sets of aligners. Once the treatment is completed we will order retainers (new digital scan).
Insurance Coverage for SureSmile
Some insurance plans cover orthodontic treatment, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider before proceeding. We require payment upfront for any orthodontic services. We can provide a claim form to send to your insurance for reimbursement if orthodontic coverage is a part of your insurance plan.

SureSmile Results
You will not see results if you don’t follow the home-care instructions given to you at your delivery appointment.
We can only control so much with tooth movement. If you are unhappy with the final result, you can complete a new digital scan and ask SureSmile for more aligners to try and achieve your smile goals. Sometimes achieving those goals is not successful, but we do everything we can to make sure you leave happy with your smile!
